Care 4 HH (Collaborative Alliance for Research on the Energy Transition in Hamburg) is a collaborative research initiative of CC4E (HAW Hamburg), City Science Lab (HCU) and ITT (TUHH) to advance the energy transition in Hamburg through an interdisciplinary and data-based approach.

Funded as part of Hamburg's state research funding, the project brings together central scientific partners with the aim of improving participation, acceptance, effectiveness and synergy effects in the upcoming decision-making processes for the restructuring of our energy system.

The objectives of the cooperation include the consolidation of existing data and simulation models of technical energy systems, the development of new future scenarios in dialogue with stakeholders and the use of interactive visualizations to inform policy, infrastructure planning and public participation. The project addresses complex energy infrastructure issues such as the generation of renewable electricity, heating systems and gas networks by combining technological findings with spatial planning instruments. Together with the project steering group, relevant issues are to be identified which are to be addressed in subsequent, new joint third-party funding applications and doctoral theses within the framework of the cooperation applied for here and, if applicable, other project partners.
