Beatrice Landefeld

Beatrice Landefeld is a research associate and PhD candidate at the institute for Organizational Design & Collaboration Engineering at Hamburg University of Technology. Her research project explores the role of users in exaptive innovation—a form of innovation in which existing products or services are repurposed for entirely new and originally unintended functions. Moreover, the research focuses on how user-driven exaptations intersect with internal innovation dynamics within organizations.

Beatrice holds an academic background in business psychology. Prior to her work at the TU, she gained several years of professional experience in strategic human resource management and organizational development at a globally operating technology company. Her broader interests lie in the effective design of organizational change processes and in fostering creativity within organizational settings.
