HEBA (High level rEnewaBle and energy efficency mAster courses) is a three years project started on October 15, 2017, and funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.

The project HEBA aims at improving the capacities of 6 Universities in the MENA region (2 in Egypt, 2 in Jordan and 2 in Lebanon) developing new lectures and courses on “Energy Efficiency and Renew-able Energy (EE+RE)” and establishing local but interconnected laboratories/ centers on EE+RE (EEREL). The European project partners include 4 Universities from Austria, Cyprus, Germany and Italy.

The consortium will help in providing qualified professional resources capable of sustaining and man-aging the significant effort of EE+RE infrastructure development. Special emphasis will be given to advanced energy management. HEBA will be oriented to further development of the process of inter-action with professional communities and reflects their requirements in the developed curriculum.

The EU experience is a major component in the success of the HEBA project. The courses/modules and adapted curricula within HEBA project should be based on the needs and challenges of the build-ing/industry/energy sectors.
