The project is carried out together with @Airbus, @Fraunhofer IGCV, @Fraunhofer IFAM, @Helmut-Schmidt University, @DLR and the @University of Augsburg. The goal is to enable certifiable AI in aircraft production.

@Hamburg University of Technology (@IPMT represented by @Prof. Dr. Jan Hendrik Dege and @Sebastian Schibsdat, and @IFPT represented by @Ehssan Roshankar) focuses on certifiable AI-based quality prediction and optimization of drilling processes for rivet holes. The emphasis lies on transfer learning for fast adaptation to new processes and imitation learning to transfer manual drilling characteristics to robotic drilling.

During the KickOff at @ZAL, initial coordination with the project sponsor took place, including a tour of the iMod facility.
