I obtained my BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in Athens and completed my MSc degree in Mechatronics at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) focusing on control and biomechanics. I worked several years at the institute of Reliability Engineering at TUHH and Tutech Innovation GmbH as a research assistant, being involved in the lecturing and laboratories of mechanics, mechatronics and robotics and in several industrial projects related to biomechanics, vibration analysis, acoustics and reliability testing.

Since January 2021, I have been acting as the Technical Manager of the institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics at Hamburg University of Technology. My main tasks include development and investigation of novel techniques and tools for the operation of the research and teaching laboratories, maintenance, support and acquisition of laboratory equipment and IT infrastructure as well as design and further development of customized experimental stations and sensing technologies for laboratory and field measurements and cooperation with external partners on a variety of topics related to water, soil, energy and climate.
