Mr. Theodor Wassiliou

I hold a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Athens and an MSc in Mechatronics from the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), with a specialization in control systems and biomechanics. I gained several years of experience as a research assistant at both the Institute of Reliability Engineering at TUHH and Tutech Innovation GmbH. In these roles, I contributed to teaching and laboratory activities in mechanics, mechatronics, and robotics, and participated in multiple industrial projects focusing on biomechanics, vibration analysis, acoustics, and reliability testing.
Since January 2021, I have been serving as the Technical Director of the Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics at TUHH. My responsibilities include the development and evaluation of innovative techniques and tools for research and teaching laboratories, management and procurement of laboratory equipment and IT infrastructure, and the design and enhancement of customized experimental setups and sensor technologies for both laboratory and field applications. I also collaborate with external partners on a wide range of topics related to water, soil, energy, and climate.
