Mr. Johannes Carstensen

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the Technical University of Berlin in 2021. Over the following two years, I worked as a laboratory scientist at a contract research organization, where I performed bioanalytical assays and supported ongoing research projects.
In 2023, I began my Master’s studies in Environmental Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), focusing on environmental and climate-related topics, with a particular interest in soil sciences. I enjoy developing new methods and working with innovative analytical instruments. As part of my project work at the Institute for Geo-Hydroinformatics, I was responsible for commissioning an ERT device for use in future research and teaching activities.
To further support education and engagement in the field, I also created educational videos for the institute on various topics within soil sciences, aiming to spark curiosity and provide visual learning resources for students and other interested audiences.
