Mr. Drew Gilmore

I received my bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine in 2020. After graduating, I worked for three years as a power transmission engineer, focusing on the design and planning of energy infrastructure.
In 2023, I began my master's degree in Environmental Engineering at TUHH. As part of the program, I completed my Projektarbeit, which involved conducting a local feasibility study and designing a water harvesting pond in rural Ghana.
My coursework at TUHH includes subjects in data science and machine learning. Combined with my strong interest in these fields, this academic background has prepared me for my current research at the institute. At the Geo-Hydroinformatics Institue, I am pursuing my master's thesis, which investigates how machine learning, within a process-based modelling framework, can be used to predict the impacts of drought on soil health.
