On October 5, 2026, the founders gathered for a special event at the Lürssen Shipyard in Hamburg. Warmly welcomed at the historic Lotsenhöft by our founder representative York Ilgner, Managing Director of Lürssen Werft Hamburg, the participants were offered a varied program that combined exciting insights into the maritime world with stimulating exchange and up-to-date information. A highlight was the guided tour of the shipyard, during which the guests gained interesting impressions of the work and demanding tasks involved in shipbuilding. The event was accompanied by a splendid harbor panorama that created a very special atmosphere in the radiant late summer weather. Another program item was the report by the President of TU Hamburg, Prof. Andreas Timm-Giel, who provided information on current topics, developments, and challenges. His remarks gave rise to conversations and discussions and rounded off the substantive program. The successful combination of maritime impressions, professional insights, and personal exchange made the founders’ meeting a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We sincerely thank York Ilgner and his team for their wonderful hospitality. The 2026 founders’ meeting will certainly be fondly remembered.
