Since the summer semester of 2016, companies, associations, foundations, and private individuals have also been able to support talented and committed students at Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg) through scholarships. The Deutschlandstipendium, amounting to €300 per month, is funded equally by the federal government and private sponsors. The university covers the organisational and administrative costs of the programme. Together, we aim to give bright minds and young talents the freedom they need to focus on their studies. With an annual contribution of €2,000, you can fund a scholarship recipient. Smaller individual contributions are pooled until they cover one full annual scholarship.
Who is supported?
The Deutschlandstipendium supports gifted and high-performing students at TU Hamburg with a monthly grant of €300. The scholarship is independent of financial need and awarded across all disciplines. In the selection process, previous academic achievements in school and university are taken into account, as well as social engagement and special personal accomplishments.

Ways to Support:
You fund multiple scholarships (€2,000 per year each). You may support specific degree programmes and participate in an advisory role during the selection of scholarship recipients.
You fund one scholarship (€2,000 per year) for at least one year.
You make a one-time or recurring donation to the Deutschlandstipendium Fund of TU Hamburg.
All donations for the Deutschlandstipendium are forwarded by the Foundation for the Advancement of TU Hamburg to TU Hamburg. From the annual amount of €2,000, scholarship holders receive €150 per month. With the federal government’s matching contribution, this increases to €300 per month.
