On 1 July 2026, the annual Deutschlandstipendium summer party for all Hamburg’s universities took place – a highlight in the scholarship community’s calendar. Around 400 guests gathered at 6 pm on the large terrace of the HCU canteen, which offers an impressive view of the Elbe. There were around 100 registrations for the event from the TU Hamburg. In glorious summer weather and a relaxed atmosphere, the participants enjoyed a varied programme: following an inspiring speech, a pianist from the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HFMT) created a special ambience with live music. Alongside the musical accompaniment, there were refreshing drinks and delicious barbecue food.
The summer party offered all scholarship holders, their sponsors and university staff an excellent opportunity to network, get to know one another and celebrate together. It was a successful evening that strengthened the sense of community amongst the scholarship holders, even beyond the boundaries of the university.
