Publications

The official IWWG journals are Waste Management, published by Elsevier and edited by Umberto Arena, Pinjing He and Dimitris Komilis, as well as Detritus, published by CISA and edited by Raffaello Cossu.

Waste Management is devoted to the presentation and discussion of information on solid waste generation, characterization, minimization, collection, separation, treatment and disposal, as well as manuscripts that address waste management policy, education, and economic and environmental assessments. The current impact factor (October 2019) is 5.431.

Detritus is a new Journal, focusing on all aspects dealing with waste resources management and engineering and carefully considering the responsible and sustainable material loop closing for residues. Its aim is to achieve FREE ACCESS for readers and FREE PUBLICATION for Authors in order to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge with no economical constraints.

Moreover, thousands of scientific papers presented during the past IWWG events are available for download for IWWG members (login to the members area required). Selected publications and additional articles have been consolidated in a couple of Reference books (IWWG monographs) focusing on aspects of particular interest in the field of waste management and technology.

Finally, the IWWG is preparing Position Papers on contemporary issues of high political and/or scientific interest.
