✨ IFPT at the Crystal Cabin Award (CCA) Gala and the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) fair ✨
On April 14, 2026, the IFPT, together with its project partners ZAL GmbH and 3D.aero GmbH from the DrumView project, attended the evening event for the Crystal Cabin Awards (CCA) hosted by Hamburg Aviation. The project team was among the three finalists in the Cabin Technologies category with its submission on automated AI-supported cabin inspection. During the ceremony, however, we narrowly lost to the first-place team and will therefore try again next year with a new topic. Overall, it was a wonderful and exciting event that we can recommend to anyone enthusiastic about cutting-edge developments in aviation.
Also this week, the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) took place at the Hamburg Exhibition Center. At the Hamburg Aviation booth, ZAL GmbH exhibited a live demonstrator on behalf of the DrumView project team, which generated widespread interest. The IFPT recorded numerous interesting impressions and encounters at the trade show.
Our new approach in the DrumView research project increases the speed, clarity, and transparency of cabin inspections.
