Content of Lecture:
The lecture Engineering Mechanics II introduces the fundamental concepts of stress and strain and explains how these can be used to characterize and compute elastic deformations of mechanical bodies under loading.
The focus of the lecture lies on:
- Stress and strain in elastic bodies
- Tension and pressure
- Shear
- Torsion
- Bending
- Buckling
- Energy methods
