Project Work Assignment: Literature & Policy Review
This project work is part of a PhD project that develops a Dynamic Environmental Impact Assessment Framework for a Climate-Neutral Transition. Unlike conventional Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which evaluates environmental impacts based on current conditions, dynamic LCA also considers how technologies, energy systems and regulations change over time. To support this work, a solid understanding of future developments and expected changes in the built environment is needed.
Thesis Assignment: Dynamic Life Cycle Assessment Modelling of Built Environment Transition
This thesis is part of a PhD project that develops a Dynamic Environmental Impact Assessment Framework for a Climate-Neutral Transition. Unlike conventional Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which evaluates environmental impacts based on current conditions, dynamic LCA also considers how technologies, energy systems and regulations change over time. An initial dynamic LCA model has already been developed and tested. But to support regional decision-making, the model now requires further development and integration of regional development plans, technological transitions and statistics into it.
