Zur Erhöhung der Servicequalität und Erreichbarkeit werden die Dienstleistungen des TUHH-Rechenzentrums - User Service Center (USC), WLAN-Beratung und Druckzentrum - künftig im neuen IT-ServiceCenter (ITSC) zusammengeführt.

Am 16. und 17. Juli 2026 nahmen Wilko Reichwein und Martin Hieronymus für das IBMT an einem Netzwerktreffen des Stifterverbandes an der Universität Bremen teil. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung stellte das IBMT sein neues Projekt „Robotik Learning Hub: Digital gestütztes Lernen in der beruflichen Metalltechnik" vor, das gemeinsam mit der Berufsschule BS19 und Prosumio Learning umgesetzt wird, und diskutierte es mit den anderen teilnehmenden Projektteams. Im Rahmen der Förderlinie "Berufsschul-Digi-Teams" waren insgesamt fünf neue Projektteams vertreten. Neben der Projektvorstellung und Co-Creation-Phasen bot das Treffen Einblicke in das Projekt DIVE IN der Universität Bremen sowie Raum für Austausch und Vernetzung mit anderen Teams aus dem bundesweiten Netzwerk. Am zweiten Tag stand zudem die gemeinsame Planung künftiger Netzwerkaktivitäten, unter anderem im Rahmen der BWP-Sektionstagung in Rostock, im Fokus.

Johannes Gmeiner and colleagues from the University of Hamburg and TUHH prepare chemoresponsive organogel beads by UV droplet polymerisation and study how quickly they swell and shrink when the solvent changes, in Macromolecules.

We are delighted to share that our joint paper "Assignment of Orders in Horizontal Transport at Seaport Container Terminals", authored by researchers from the Institute of Production Management and Technology and Institute of Maritime Logistics was published at the 4th International Conference on Logistics and Maritime Systems (LOGMS 2026).We are especially proud that our paper has been selected as one of the Best Papers of the conference proceedings to be recommended for consideration in a forthcoming special issue of the International Journal of Production Research (IJPR).The paper investigates the assignment of transport orders to terminal trucks in horizontal transport at seaport container terminals. By comparing different assignment strategies, we analyze their impact on the productivity of STS-cranes and overall terminal performance using simulation and Logistic Operating Curves.Our findings show that flexible transport order assignment can enhance the resilience and operational performance of seaport container terminals under challenging operating conditions.
