Between 23.08. and 25.08., the Institute of Multiphase Flow was at the ACHEMA 2022, the world forum and leading international trade fair for the process industry, with almost 60 students. In addition to the colourful programme of many stand visits and social evenings, a visit to INEOS Phenol was also integrated into the programme.

Vom 22.8. bis zum 9.9. ist der Schülerpraktikant Max aus der 9ten Klasse der GSE Eppendorf an unserer Universität. Hier lernt er vieles Neue über den 3D Druck und den allgemeinen Maschinenbau. Der 14-jährige weiß zwar noch nicht, was er einmal werden will, aber so kann er schon einen Einblick in die Berufswelt gewinnen.

A recently published open access article of the Institute of Multiphase Flows is featured on the cover of the forthcoming issue of Processes, "Scale-Up of Industrial Jet Loop Reactors", for the month of August.

A new article from the Institute of Multiphase Flows has recently appeared in Frontiers in Chemical Engineering. Within this paper, Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF) and a Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope (CLSM) are used to investigate the mixing behaviour within micromixers. This helps to better understand the mixing behaviour in polymerisation processes and to minimise fouling within the production plants.

Vom 14.08.2022 bis zum 17.08.2022 fand im St. Louis Union Station Hotel die ASME Konferenz IDETC-CIE statt. Das PKT war dort durch Juliane Kuhl vertreten. Im Track zur 34th International Conference on Design Theory and Methodology präsentierte sie den Beitrag IDETC2022-88463:  Kuhl, J.; Krause, D.: Identifying Potentials of Product Personalization, Proceedings of the ASME 2022 International Design Engineering Technical Conferences and Computers and Information in Engineering Conference, St. Louis, 2022. Durch die Konferenz konnten neue Kontakte geknüpft und ausgebaut werden. Interessant und inspirierend waren insbesondere die Sichtweisen und Vorgehen zur Produktarchitekturgestaltung und die zugehörigen Beiträge.
