First Annual UNU Hubs Meeting

On 5–6 June 2025, the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) hosted the First Annual Meeting of the United Nations University (UNU) Hubs, bringing together researchers and representatives from UNU Hubs around the world.

The meeting strengthened collaboration on key topics including climate change, environmental sustainability, water resources, and development challenges in the Global South.

By fostering dialogue between academia, policymakers, and society, the event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, the development of new partnerships, and the exploration of innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.

 

UNU Hub Cluster Meeting – July 2026

The UNU Hub “Engineering to Face Climate Change” at the Hamburg University of Technology will hold its next Cluster Meeting on Monday 6 July 2026. The event will bring together researchers, faculty members, and PhD students for an afternoon of presentations, networking, and discussions on ongoing research and initiatives addressing climate change and sustainable development.

A highlight of the meeting will be the  PhD Poster Competition, with prizes of €1,000 for first place and €500 for second place. Participation in the competition requires registration and is open to UNU Hub-affiliated PhD students presenting new posters.

The meeting will take place from 14:00–17:00, with presentation sessions in Building B (Promotionsraum 0.001) and poster sessions in Building A (2nd and 3rd floors), at the Hamburg University of Technology.
