Welcome to the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change

We celebrated the establishment of Europe's first United Nations University (UNU) Hub at Hamburg University of Technology, created in partnership with The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH).  The agreement was signed by Prof. Andreas Timm-Giel, the President of TUHH and Prof. Dr. Tshilidzi Marwala, the Rector of UNU and the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations on May 27th, 2024.  This is the world's first climate-focused Hub of United Nations University.

UNU Hub serves as the Gateway to the United Nations on the premises of an academic institution. This major strategic development will bring tangible benefits to Hamburg, Germany, and the world, especially the Global South! The UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change at TUHH serves as a focal point and a platform for active exchanges and collaborations between TUHH and UNU.
