For Candidates
We as Fellows are boldly proclaiming that all peers across campus should engage in innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking and creativity as a means to make a difference in the world and enhance every individual’s potential leadership abilities. We are declaring this to be a movement. Inspired by a deeper calling to advance their campus innovation ecosystem and strengthen the future economic prospects for our peers on campus, We have put forth this Manifesto (Link) as rallying cry for others, across organizations and academic disciplines, to join us in our cause.

What happens after application?
University of Twente in the Netherlands will provide a six-week online training, starting in September. Each week, together with the other UIF x TUHH candidates, you will do assignments related to design thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In the process, you will be supported by Faculty Champions of TUHH and a trained fellow by an international partner school. Throughout the training, you reflect on opportunities to improve TUHH's innovation ecosystem and establish a project idea on what to change.
With your fellow candidates, you will work on the project and try to make an impact at TUHH. Therefore, talking with relevant stakeholders is a must. The importance of stakeholders is highlighted near the end of your training by organizing and hosting a stakeholder meeting. You will invite and set-up an exciting and informative event for your stakeholders. As last element of your UIF training, you will receive a startup coaching workshop provided by Startup Dock. As soon as you have completed the training you will become an official Fellow, by being pinned with the official UIF pin in the pinning ceremony.
Then you pursue realizing your own project idea within the timeframe you have set with your team. The workload always depends on your ambitions as a team, but as a minimum you should be able to contribute about 10 hours/week. Afterwards you can take on further projects or support other fellows in their development. Once a fellow, always a fellow!
