We were pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Marcus Rose, an international leading expert in catalysis and sustainable chemical processes from the Ernst-Berl-Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt, to our CRC at the Hamburg University of Technology. His inspiring lecture highlighted that the shift towards renewable energy will transform chemical industries, with catalysis playing a key, but success requires integrating catalyst development with reactor and process design to address challenges like heat and mass transfer, especially in multiphase systems.
