We were delighted to welcome Prof. Stefan Pirker, a world-leading expert in the computational modeling and simulation of particulate and multiphase flows, from the Department of Particulate Flow Modelling at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) in Austria, to our CRC at the TUHH. In his inspiring lecture, Prof. Pirker provided insights into real-time recurrence CFD (rCFD) simulations, digital twins, and the integration of simulation and process control, which sparked lively discussions across the CRC community.
We sincerely thank Prof. Pirker for visiting us. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for scientific exchange on particle technology, multiphase flows, process imaging and modeling, and simulation. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the future.
