CRC SMART Reactors at the 9th World Conference of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology

Our PhD candidate Sri Sannihita Chavali from Institute of Technical Microbiology at TUHH attended the ISMET9 in Leipzig from September 16-19.

Sri Sannihita Chavali presented a poster, co-authored by Dr. Miriam Edel and Prof. Johannes Gescher, entitled "Tailored functional electrode structures for SMART bioreactors", in which they shared their latest discoveries on investigating the optimal electrode material for microbial electrosynthesis using Cupriavidus necator H16, with the aim of utilising CO2 for the sustainable production of platform chemicals.

Congratulations to Sri and Miriam for this excellent work!
