CRC 1615 SMART Reactors at the 12th International Conference on Multiphase Flow in Toulouse/France

Prof. Michael Schlüter, spokesperson of the CRC 1615 from TUHH, delivered a keynote speech on the topic "Trajectory-Based Optimisation of SMART Reactors".

From May 11 to 16, the ICMF 2025 brought together over 1,200 participants from around the world, offering an outstanding scientific programme featuring exciting contributions from both research and industry. CRC 1615 was prominently represented through numerous lectures, a keynote speech, and posters, impressively showcasing its expertise in the field of multiphase flows:

  • Christian Weiland (Institute of Multiphase Flows, TUHH) presented "Trajectory-Based Breakup Modelling for Dense Bubbly Flows".
  • Shaik Asif (Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology, TUHH) talked about "Recurrence CFD Application to Study the Mixing Behavior of Particles in Fluidised Bed".
  • Eike Steuwe (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences) showed "Vortex Measures for Bubble Wake Detection". Timo Alexander Merbach (Institute of Multiphase Flows, TUHH) presented "Optimising Transport Processes in Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotube Forests".
  • A poster by Maike Orth (Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology, TUHH) focused on "In-line Tracking of Coating Layer Formation in Fluidised Bed Spray Granulation with Impedance Spectroscopy".
