Raffaele Colombi prereleased: Measurements of Sub-Surface Velocity Fields in Quasi-2D Faraday Flow

Planar PIV measurements are measured with high spatial and temporal resolution at different horizontal planes in Faraday waves. The results show a sudden drop in velocity immediately below the surface, where the flow structures comprise larger spatial scales and are found to be slow and temporarily persistent.
