The institute cooperates within the framework of the Scientific Society for Assembly, Handling and Industrial Robotics (WGMHI) with the professorships represented there in research and teaching at a national level. Professor Schüppstuhl has been the founding board member of the WGMHI since 2011.
At the TU Hamburg, cooperation takes place within research priorities (FSP). The IFPT is a member of the following research areas, with Professor Schüppstuhl taking on the role of spokesperson for the area of digital production, logistics and MRO.
