Heat Transfer in the Bed Ash Cooler of a Pressurised Fluidised-Bed Steam Generator

Goal of the project was the dynamic simulation of the heat transfer behaviour of an intermittently operated ash cooler of a PFBC boiler.

For this purpose a model was developed, simulating the heat transfer characteristics and the flow behaviour of the ashes in the ash cooler. For validating the model measurements were performed in the ash cooler of the PFBC boiler of the CHP station of the city of Cottbus.
