We research methods and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) across numerous fields of engineering, ranging from mechanical engineering, materials science, and civil engineering through automotive engineering to aerospace and medicine. In doing so, we focus in particular on the interplay between AI and classical computer simulations. Our goal is to contribute to solving the wide range of problems arising in these areas through research at the highest international level. To this end, we cooperate closely with Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, an internationally leading research center near Hamburg.

An important part of our mission is sharing our knowledge with students to enable them to change the path of civilization for the better.
