Congratulations to three of our former students who won the Hamburg Aviation Young Talent Award yesterday, recognizing their excellent work in their final thesis!
Lukas Thiesen won second place in the 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘳'𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 category. His thesis focused on integrating hydrogen tanks into the fuselage, with a special emphasis on safety aspects such as potential rotor bursts and crashworthiness.
Antonia Münchenbach won first place in the 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘷𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 category. Her bachelor's thesis was about the routing of hydrogen pipes within the aircraft, considering interdependencies with other systems like hydraulic and electrical systems.
Kai Beschorner won second place in the 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳'𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 category. He developed a preliminary method for designing and evaluating a hybrid power train for a gas turbine.
These awards serve as motivation for all students, demonstrating that your thesis work is highly valued and appreciated by the community.
A big thank you to all sponsors and to Hamburg Aviation for organizing this event!
