Our ice research recently attracted attention beyond the scientific community. Several film teams visited us during our fieldwork to document our research activities and provide insights into how ice investigations are conducted under real-world conditions.
The teams accompanied us on site, capturing both the practical aspects of our measurements and the scientific background behind our work. The resulting reports offer behind-the-scenes look at experimental ice research and highlight its relevance for understanding ice–structure interactions and infrastructure design.
These video features were broadcast on German public-service television, bringing our research to a broad audience and helping to raise public awareness of applied ice research beyond the Arctic.
We would like to thank the film crews for their interest and professional collaboration, as well as the broadcasters for showcasing our work to the wider public.
