Our CampusLab Circular Economy welcomed 18 students from Elfenwiese School for a day full of hands-on experiments and curious questions like “How does a sponge work?”, “How can you make sand flow?” and “What gives bones their stability?” Together with our colleagues from NachwuchsCampus and the Institute of Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, we had a fantastic day exploring science in a very practical (and fun!) way.
Huge thanks to Gesine Liese, Barbara Klippel, Neele Meyer-Heydecke, Ushe Malcolm Mutamba, Sabine Beckedorf, Lara Gibowsky and Baldur Schroeter for making this possible.
The students clearly had a great time and hopefully went home with lots of exciting impressions and new curiosity. We wrapped up the day in a relaxed atmosphere at the Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology, Hamburg University of Technology with their popcorn machine in action, of course.
Many thanks to Lennart Osterhus for the organization and the initiative.
