Welcoming an Egyptian Delegation to the Institute of Maritime Logistics

The Institute of Maritime Logistics welcomed an Egyptian delegation to discuss dual vocational education, logistics research, and future skills for the logistics sector.

On 1 July 2026, the Institute of Maritime Logistics welcomed a delegation from Egypt's Ministry of Education and Technical Education, together with Egyptian logistics companies and technical advisors of the GIZ Egypt Employment Promotion Project (EPP), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)).

The visit was part of a wider study tour through Germany on the dual vocational education system and its practical implementation in the logistics sector. Our colleagues Marvin Kastner and Andreas Mohr welcomed the delegation at MLS, where they gained insights into our institute and its research projects, with a dedicated presentation of our ZERO C PROJECT, followed by an open exchange on future competence requirements for the logistics workforce, as Egypt develops new competence-based curricula and expands its role as a regional logistics hub between Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Thank you for the great exchange between German and Egyptian expertise in logistics and vocational training.
