The BlueMat Academy is the dedicated training and development platform for doctoral researchers and postdoctoral fellows within the Cluster of Excellence BlueMat – Water-Driven Materials at TU Hamburg. It supports Early Career Researchers throughout their qualification phase and contributes to creating optimal conditions for successful research and sustainable career development.

The Academy offers a structured programme of scientific and transferable skills workshops tailored to the needs of Bluemat researchers. Scientific formats strengthen methodological expertise, interdisciplinary exchange and thematic depth within the cluster. Complementary transferable skills workshops foster key competencies such as communication, leadership, project management and career planning.

Embedded within the cluster and strategically connected to the Graduate Academy of TU Hamburg, the BlueMat Academy combines cluster-specific training with established expertise in early-career development. In this way, it provides a coherent framework that promotes research excellence, professional growth and active participation in the BlueMat research community.
