The IETF makes internet standards that are often adopted by users, network operators, and equipment vendors, and it thus helps shape the trajectory of the development of the Internet. Teresa presented at the Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) Working Group meeting, which specifies mechanisms for data communications in the presence of long delays and intermittent connectivity, such as for space communications. Her presentation covered the progress on the Bundle Protocol extension for Quality of Service that has been presented in other meetings such as the CCSDS.
