We are pleased that Prof. Dr. Lorenz Schwachhöfer from TU Dortmund University will be our guest from August thirty-first to September fourth.
Prof. Dr. Lorenz Schwachhöfer is a professor of Differential Geometry at the Faculty of Mathematics at TU Dortmund University. His research focuses on affine connections with special holonomy, special symplectic connections, Riemannian manifolds with lower curvature bounds, as well as applications in Information Geometry and Machine Learning.
He has published extensively in leading journals such as Journal of Geometry and Physics, Annals of Mathematics, and Entropy, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Differential Geometry and its Applications and Editor of Information Geometry. During his visit, he will engage in discussions and collaborative research with colleagues at the institute.
