During his stay at Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg), he is completing two books on information geometry and quantum mechanics.
Akio Fujiwara received the B.S. degree in applied physics and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematical engineering from the University of Tokyo. Currently, he is a Professor of mathematics with The University of Osaka.
His research explores the fundamental question, "What is information?" through the perspectives of noncommutative statistics, information geometry, and quantum information theory. His work aims to deepen our understanding of the nature of information by bridging classical and quantum approaches and by developing geometric frameworks with operational significance for quantum information theory.
