The Institute for Data Science Foundations is delighted to announce that Frank Röder has successfully completed his PhD. On February 10, 2026, Frank defended his dissertation, “Language Grounding in Deep Reinforcement Learning for Dynamic Goal-Oriented Robotics” which earned the grade “very good”. The defense was a vibrant event, bringing together faculty, colleagues, friends and family to celebrate his years of dedication and hard work.
Following this achievement, Frank will remain at the Institute as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. He will continue to advance his research agenda and manage ongoing projects. His presence will contribute to the continuity of the academic and research activities at our institute.
