Seminar: Reliable usage of LLMs in civil engineering

We are pleased to announce an upcoming talk by Alexander Chmelnizkij and Aditya Tandonl from the Institute of Digital and Autonomous Construction at TUHH, who will be presenting on September 17, 2025, at 15:00.

Abstract:

Structural Health Monitoring is a field in civil engineering that deals, among other things, with structural condition assessment, as well as predictive and robotized maintenance of civil infrastructure. These tasks require fast and reliable processing of heterogeneous data, which often comes in the form of reports. The use of LLMs and multimodal LLMs offers great potential in this regard. The question of the reliability of LLMs when applied to such tasks is of particular safety relevance and is the subject of this presentation
