Deadlines
Abstract submission for oral presentations closed on 15 April. Poster presentations can still be submitted through the registration link.

If you have been selected for a poster, please prepare a printed DIN A0 poster with your results to be shown in the poster sessions (foyer of building A). In addition, you have the opportunity to prepare a speed talk of 90s with one slide (16:9) to advertise your poster in a speed talk session.
If you arrive on the night of Monday, 21 September, or earlier feel free to join us any time after 5.30 pm at L’Osteria Hamburg-Harburg for a casual get-together before the conference.
Please be aware that the costs for the evening are not included in the conference fee but have to be covered by all attendants individually.
During the get-together, you will have the possibility to register for the conference and/or pay the conference fee.
On the first night of our conference, we invite all participants to join the conference dinner at the restaurant Leuchtturm. This dinner is included in the conference fees. At the modern restaurant we will be enjoying a mixture of Northern-German and Mediterranean cuisine and an amazing view on the Außenmühle lake.
Please be aware that we are planning to walk the approximately 2 km to the restaurant from TUHH since it is a nice walk through the Harburg area. If you are not able to walk for 30 minutes, please let us know in advance. You can simply approach us at the registration desk during the first day of the seminar, and we will make different means of travel available.
Conference Scope
The aerogel community invites scientists, engineers, students, and industrial partners working with or interested in learning about aerogels to the premiere international conference on the subject. Our next 8th International Seminar on Aerogels will take place physically in Hamburg in September 2026. We welcome contributions on any and all topics related to aerogels including synthesis, characterization, and applications in various fields. Our growing community is eager to host contributions from all fields and from all over the world.
We are looking forward to meeting you in Hamburg!
