Abstract
This seminar course will focus each year on a different topic in the area of Networked Cyber-Physical Systems. The goal of this seminar is to familiarize the students with academic literature and academic writing to lay their foundation for writing their master's thesis, as well as to train them to present in an academic format as preparation for the colloquium.
This course is primarily aimed at master's students.

They practice clear, precise academic writing, proper citation, and coherent argumentation that matches the expectations of peer-reviewed venues.
Paper reviewing: Students learn how peer review works and how to write constructive, fair, and well-justified reviews. They practice evaluating writing, soundness, and clarity and formulating actionable feedback and recommendation rationale.
Scientific presentation: Students learn to communicate scientific ideas effectively in oral presentations, tailoring depth and framing to a target audience. They practice designing clear slides, explaining methods and results concisely, and handling Q&A with confident, evidence-based responses.
