The Institute for Vocational Education and Digitalisation at Hamburg University of Technology is investigating the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in the context of vocational education with the aim of preparing prospective teachers for these developments. Digital transformation plays a central role in the future of work and careers.

In research and teaching, therefore, there is a particular focus on strengthening the appeal of vocational education and training and opening up new research approaches and perspectives for the further development of occupational profiles. One focus here is on accompanying research into new technologies, including the role and significance of AI-supported applications.
