On October 28, 2026, the Career Center of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) invited international students to an inspiring alumni and career lecture held in the Learning and Communication Center (LuK), Building A. Three dedicated TUHH alumni shared their personal experiences of starting their careers in Germany and provided valuable insights into German work culture. The three-member panel, consisting of:
- Aayush Shah, Sourcing Manager at Vattenfall
- Sambhajiraje Patil, Application and Development Engineer at Mankiewicz
- Berenice Eréndira Ortiz Alfaro, HO Advanced Analytics for Industrial Systems & Quality at Airbus Operations
impressed the audience with their openness and authenticity. Central to their message were tips such as: “Be curious, get involved, build connections, and try yourself out in different contexts!” – advice that left a lasting impression on the students. In addition to the panel discussion, the event offered ample opportunity for students to ask questions. The professional yet warm atmosphere made the event a true networking highlight.
Afterwards, participants were able to network over snacks and drinks – including with advisors from the Hamburg Student Services Counselling Centre Social & International Affairs (BeSI), the TUHH Startup Port, and the Federal Employment Agency. They provided valuable information on job offers, internships, and legal questions.
Special thanks go to the hosts Anna-Lena Glesinski and Frauke Kasting from the TUHH Career Center, who organized and conducted this event in cooperation with the Alumni Relations department of TUHH, represented by Vera Lindenlaub.
