On August 25th, TU Hamburg invited its alumni to a special event at Aurubis AG. At the company’s site at Hovestraße 50 in Hamburg, participants had the opportunity to get an up-close look at Aurubis, recognized as the world’s largest copper recycler and a leading supplier of non-ferrous metals. The evening began with a warm welcome from Patrick Patolla, TUHH alumnus and Aurubis employee, as well as Vera Lindenlaub, Head of Relationship Management at TU Hamburg. Following this, the exclusive factory tour took the alumni through the modern production facility, showcasing innovative processes in metal processing and recycling. After the tour, a joint get-together offered a chance for exchange, networking, and discussion of current industry topics. The event was very well received by attendees and provided valuable insights alongside new contacts within the alumni network. TU Hamburg warmly thanks Aurubis for the invitation and looks forward to future events that connect theory and practice while bringing alumni together.
