On 28 May 2026 at 6 pm, the TU Hamburg women’s network Empower.ING invited TU Hamburg alumnae to Sparkling Thursday. It was an inspiring evening full of new encounters, during which the TU Hamburg alumnae networked, exchanged ideas and had a great time together in the TU Hamburg Alumni Lounge. Experts from TU Hamburg and Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel provided information on ‘Future Skills’ – the competencies that will be crucial in a changing world of work. These are practical skills that empower people to help shape change with confidence, responsibility and a sense of community. In doing so, they strengthen society’s capacity for innovation and combine specialist expertise with cross-cutting skills for transformation, community and digitalisation.
On this topic, Astrid Bültemeier (Head of the Career Centre at TU Hamburg) and Wibke Matthes (Head of the ZfS Key Competencies at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel) provided many fascinating insights and ideas on the subject of future skills during the evening.
Afterwards, over finger food and drinks, there was plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking with other women from Hamburg University of Technology.
