Founder alumni report on their experiences

Alumni & Career Talk on the topic of start-ups

It is impressive how many alumni from Hamburg University of Technology have successfully started their own businesses. At the Alumni & Career Talk on 15 January 2026, a joint event organized by the TU Hamburg Career Center and TU Hamburg Alumni Management, three alumni presented their companies to students in a panel discussion at Startup Port, answered questions from the audience and reported on challenges, lessons learned and experiences. How do I start a successful business? What did I not expect? How has my start-up changed me? What would I do exactly the same again and what would I not?

Our guests and founders on the panel were:

Sharon Nisha, CEO Ploviti UG

Founder Sharon Nisha has established Ploviti, a start-up that enables users to find terminals, shops or lifts in airports with the help of an indoor app navigation system, saving time and effort. Find out more here.
