Participation at the 19th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition - Berlin
The 19th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition was held at the ICC Berlin from 6-10 June 2011. The Conference aimed at highlighting the contribution of biomass as energy source and was the meeting point for various actors’ diverse sectors, embracing from 1st and 2nd to future biomass generations with developments ranging from research to industry and markets. Our Institute was among the 1516 delegates present, with two visual presentations (see picture), deriving from the Research Project “Wastewater Management with Bamboo Plantations”: while the first poster analysed quantitatively and qualitatively the biomass production through the treatment, the second one elaborated on the production and characterization of bamboo pellet from the urine-fertilized bamboo plants.
