From July 12–17, 2026, IFORS 2026 took place in Vienna—the largest conference in Operations Research, held every three years under this year’s motto “Decision Support for a Sustainable World.” Christian Thies and Felix Westerkamp from the OSCM team attended.
Felix Westerkamp presented his current research on “Sustainable Supply Chain Network Design: A Multi-Objective Optimization Framework for Global Battery Supply Chains.” He introduced a multi-criteria optimization model for designing global supply chains that considers economic, ecological, and social aspects.
