As in previous years, doctoral students from quantitatively oriented business administration institutes in Northern an Eastern Germany came together for the Doctoral Workshop Nordost (DoWoNO) to present and discuss their research projects. This year’s event was organized by the universities of Kiel and Magdeburg and took place in the historically significant town of Wittenberg, known for its connection to Martin Luther.
Maurice Timmer, research associate at the DLR Institute of Air Transport and external doctoral candidate in the Resilient and Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management Group, presented his approach to the sustainable development of airports. His talk focused on modeling and simulating the financial implications associated with this transformation process.
Beyond the academic program, a city rally through Wittenberg provided an opportunity to explore historic sites and to connect with doctoral students from other universities.
