Welcome to the IWWG!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the International Waste Working Group, IWWG. The IWWG was established in 2002 to serve as a forum for the scientific and professional community and to respond to a need for the international promotion and dissemination of new developments in the waste management industry. We are providing an intellectual platform to encourage and support integrated and sustainable waste management and promote practical scientific development in the field.

Conceived as a think-tank, whose work is based on scientific principles oriented towards practical applications, the underlying structure of the IWWG enables a focus on a wide range of subjects, to react promptly to problems that arise in the field, and to communicate effectively within the professional community.

This website provides an overview of our structure, activities and outcomes. You are cordially invited to browse the site and discover the advantages the IWWG offers. Become a member, and you will automatically receive access to our “Members Area”. There you can find and download articles and presentations from past IWWG conferences, make use of the new IWWG Discussion Board and download the LeachXS Lite database. Furthermore, IWWG Members may become Subscribers to Waste Management, the official journal of IWWG, at a special price.

Welcome again and I am looking forward to seeing you at one of our future events.

Yours sincerely,

Debra Reinhart

IWWG President
