Following the end of the the containment ordinance ("Hamburgische SARS-CoV-2-Eindämmungsverordnung"), new rules are in effect as of February 1. Almost all specifications, protective measures have expired.

No mask requirement in offices and lecture halls.

The mask requirement will be dropped without replacement. This means that everyone can decide for themselves when it makes sense to wear a mask.

No five-day obligation for isolation

The obligation for citizens to isolate themselves immediately for five days after a positive Corona test is dropped. But: Those who are ill should stay at home. This applies not only to infections with the Corona virus.

What are the regulations for the workplace?

The previous Corona Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance is repealed with immediate effect. Certain hygiene concepts or the possibility of working from home - keyword home office - are thus no longer mandatory. However, companies are free to define protection rules on an individual basis.
